WAXstaff (WS): If you could only use three words to describe your work, what would they be?Marissa Niederhauser (MN): Taught, atmospheric, mysterious
WS: What part of the creative process do you find most challenging?
MN: Managing production details.
WS: What do you feel comes easily?

WS: Where do you find inspiration for your work? Or what motivates your work?
MN: Quite often it arises from moments in my life in which my voice has been silenced or dismissed. Art is a platform in which no one can hush me up.
WS: What specific ideas or elements in your work would you hope to receive feedback on?
MN: Length of sections? Back story for the character?
WS: What goals do you have for your creative work?
MN: To stir up memories, emotions and thoughts in my audience. To engage their mirror neurons.
